Cookie Policy

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, remember your preferences, and provide information to site owners. Similar technologies include web beacons, pixels, local storage, and session storage, all of which we refer to collectively as “cookies” in this policy.

2. How We Use Cookies

Lunadeck uses only the minimal storage needed to keep you signed in and to remember your interface preferences. We do not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, or any third-party tracking, and we do not sell your data to advertisers.

3. Types of Cookies We Use

Strictly Necessary

These are essential for the platform to function and cannot be switched off. They are set when you sign in so that we can keep you authenticated. Without them you cannot log in or use the Service.

  • Clerk authentication cookies — Set by our identity provider, Clerk, to maintain your signed-in session. Clearing them signs you out.

Preferences

We remember a single interface preference to make the platform more convenient. This is stored in your browser's local storage rather than transmitted to us.

  • theme — Stores your light/dark mode preference in local storage. Persists until you clear it.

No analytics or advertising cookies

We do not set analytics, advertising, or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not run a web analytics product at launch. The only third party that may set cookies is Stripe, and only on its own hosted checkout pages (checkout.stripe.com) when you start a payment — governed by Stripe's privacy policy. Those cookies are not set on lunadeck.io.

4. Cookie Durations

The storage we use falls into two duration categories:

  • Session — Authentication cookies managed by Clerk that keep you signed in for the duration of your session and expire according to Clerk's session settings.
  • Persistent — Your theme preference, stored in local storage, which remains until you clear it manually.

5. Managing Your Cookie Preferences

You can control or clear the storage we use:

  • Browser settings: Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies and clear local storage through their settings. Refer to your browser's help documentation for instructions.
  • Theme preference: Clearing your browser's local storage for lunadeck.io removes your saved light/dark mode choice.

Because we set no analytics or advertising cookies, there is nothing to opt out of for tracking. Please note that clearing the strictly necessary authentication cookies will sign you out and prevent you from using core features of the platform.

6. Cookies and Personal Data

Some cookies may be associated with personal data (for example, an authentication cookie linked to your account). Where this is the case, our Privacy Policyapplies to how that data is handled. We process this data on the legal basis of contract performance — the strictly necessary authentication cookies are required to provide the Service you have signed up for.

7. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy as our use of cookies evolves or in response to changes in applicable law. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects when the most recent changes were made. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
